Elders Update

April 2026

As we enter this spring season, a time that points us toward renewal and growth, the elders have been reflecting on how we, as a church family at Centerpoint Church Winnipeg, continue to grow not only in number, but in depth of commitment and discipleship.

One of the most important ways we do this is by gathering together regularly. This was beautifully evident over Easter, as we worshiped, celebrated, and fellowshipped as one body. Our pastor has reminded us through his teaching that gathering together is not only a biblical command, but truly the best way to do church - and life - together. As it says in Hebrews 10:24–25, we are called to encourage one another and not give up meeting together. With that in mind, we will continue to gather each Sunday throughout the summer as our consistent day of worship and community.

This summer will also bring meaningful opportunities for our youth through a vacation bible school style experience. We invite you to begin praying about how you might step in to help host this important ministry. These moments are not only impactful for the next generation, but also deeply formative for those who serve.

We are grateful for the strong and faithful teaching we continue to receive each week. Through both the preaching and the sermon resources available on our church website, we are being equipped to live out our faith in practical and Christ-centered ways. In addition, the gift of RightNow Media, available to our entire church family, continues to strengthen discipleship in our homes and throughout the week.
Alongside spiritual growth, we remain committed to faithful stewardship and strong governance. The Elders and leadership teams are actively reviewing policies and procedures to ensure we operate with integrity, clarity, and accountability. This work is guided in part by best practices from organizations such as Canadian Centre for Christian Charities, helping us steward well what God has entrusted to us.

We are especially thankful for the ongoing leadership and dedication of our Finance and Missions Committees. Their faithful work, often behind the scenes, plays a critical role in supporting ministry, managing resources wisely, and extending our reach beyond our walls. Quite simply, much of what we do would not be possible without them.

For those who feel called to take a next step, we encourage you to consider joining a membership class. It is a natural pathway into deeper involvement and opens the door to serving in areas such as Finance, Missions, with our youth, and other ministry opportunities within the church. These are not just roles to fill, but meaningful ways to participate in God’s work through Centerpoint.  Ask Pastor Glenn about joining the next class.

As we move into the months ahead, may we remain committed to gathering, growing, and serving together, faithfully walking in step with what God is doing among us.

Grace and peace,
On behalf of the Elders Board
